Preparation

Upon acceptance to the course, participants will be directed to an online platform where they will have access to basic information, articles, videos, photo and video examples and other resources on digital photography, video editing, composition, light, color, storytelling and related topics.
Participants will receive a guidance document with tips and resources on digital photography and video editing techniques.
Prior to the course, an online meeting will be organized with participants to share the course program, expectations, use of the online platform and other logistical information. Participants are asked to bring their own digital camera or smartphone to the course.

Course Description

This course aims to provide teachers, educators, adult learners and education professionals with the knowledge and skills to tell visual stories using digital photography and video editing skills. The course will provide detailed information and practical applications on digital photography techniques, composition, use of light and color, video shooting and editing, storytelling, visual narration, editing techniques and sharing visual content on different platforms (social media, websites, etc.).

Participants will complete an online evaluation questionnaire at the end of the course and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the course.
After the course, participants will be able to stay in touch with each other and the instructors through the online platform, share their experiences and get support.
Participants will be encouraged to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their own workspaces and personal projects and to continue developing themselves in visual storytelling.

Photo Editing: Using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
Basic editing techniques (cropping, trimming, color correction, etc.)

Video Shooting Techniques: Camera Usage and Shooting Stages
Shooting angle, motion and sound recording
Event Shooting video with different shooting techniques

Video Editing: Using Adobe Premiere Pro
