Preparation
- Once accepted to the course, participants will be directed to an online platform where they will have access to basic information, articles, videos and other resources related to task-based learning (TBL), problem solving and critical thinking. On this platform, they can learn about the basic principles of TBL, task design, problem solving strategies, critical thinking skills, etc.
- Participants will receive a guidance document with case studies, lesson plans and assessment tools related to GTT practices.
- Prior to the course, an online meeting will be held with the participants to discuss the course program, expectations, use of the online platform and other logistical information.
Course Description
This course aims to provide teachers, educators and education professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills using a task-based learning (TBL) approach. The course will provide detailed information and practical applications on the basic principles of TBL, task design, problem solving strategies, critical thinking skills, collaborative learning, creativity, communication, technology integration, assessment and feedback.
